Wine Link Asia ltd, the brand ambassador of Bodegas Latúe and Albet i Noya, will showcase the exquisite wines from these two Spanish boutique wineries at the 32nd Interwine China (Guangzhou) International Premium Wine Exhibition to be held from May 23-25 at Hall D of the Canton Fair Complex.

Bodegas Latúe is located in the picturesque town of Villanueva de Alcardete in Toledo Province, Spain. The winery has produced unique wines that embody the distinctive climatic conditions of the region. Situated on the banks of the Gigüela River, surrounded by the heart of La Mancha, where four provinces converge, this extraordinary environment gives the wines a unique character. With a vineyard covering 4,300 hectares at an average altitude of 725 meters, it enjoys an extreme continental climate with hot summers and cold winters, providing ideal conditions for growing perfect grapes.

The core of Latúe's success lies in its 600 experienced grape growers, who have been dedicated to cultivating and harvesting grapes for three generations. These grape growers own 6,200 hectares of land and provide high-quality organic grapes to Latúe every year. This vast vineyard consolidates Latúe's position as the world's largest producer of organic wine and grape juice.

Bodegas Latúe takes pride in producing a diverse range of wines, carefully selecting grape varieties grown in the La Mancha region. Indigenous white grape varieties such as Airén and red grape varieties like Tempranillo take precedence. In addition, other varieties are introduced regularly, including Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Verdejo, Macabeo, Garnacha, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Syrah, enabling Latúe to create fresh, crisp white wines and rich, expressive red wines.

The development of Latúe began in 1954 with the San Isidro Cooperative, which grew from 131 grape growers to over 600 today. In 2007, with a strong focus on exports, Bodegas Latúe was established, reflecting their commitment to quality and the environment, and representing their traditional way of doing business with international companies.

Latúe's wines have gained worldwide recognition for their outstanding quality, both in conventional and organic series. The winery has become a benchmark in the wine industry, embodying a commitment to ecology, sustainability, social responsibility, quality, innovation, and a passion for excellence and dedication to craftsmanship. Albet i Noya is one of the most renowned wineries in the DO Penedès region of Catalonia, Spain, acclaimed for its exceptional wines and commitment to organic farming. The history of the winery dates back to 1903 when Joan Albet i Rovirosa, great-grandfather of the current generation, established vineyards during the phylloxera crisis. Over five generations, they have lovingly nurtured this land and vineyards, which now form the centerpiece of their exquisite wines.

In the late 1970s, driven by an insatiable curiosity and a desire for new opportunities, the Albets family made a significant decision. A Danish company seeking organic winegrowers approached them, at a time when the concept of organic wine was unheard of. Undeterred by this unfamiliar concept, they seized the pioneering opportunity. Despite initial skepticism, their unwavering belief in respecting nature, health, and innovation has made them the first organic winery in Spain, earning them recognition as true pioneers in the field.

Since entering the organic wine production field, they have continued to lead the industry in innovative developments. Their relentless pursuit of excellence has led them to revive almost extinct grape varieties, resulting in a unique and rare product portfolio. One such treasure is the red wine made from the rare Belat grape, which is produced in only 600 bottles annually.

Today, Albet i Noya remains at the forefront of innovation. They lead the VRIACC project, focusing on developing natural grape hybrids. Two internal research projects involve restoring ancient grape varieties that disappeared after the phylloxera crisis and testing different clones that are drought-resistant, fungus-resistant, and disease-resistant. This groundbreaking effort paves the way for vineyards that require no human intervention and are 100% sustainable. Their hard work culminates in the first wine born from these vineyards, aptly named "LA VOLADA."

Albet i Noya covers a total area of 145 hectares, of which 80.5 hectares are vineyards. The vineyards are nestled on the western slope of the Ordal mountain range known as Costers d'Ordal, gracefully embracing the undulating terrain. The soil here has low organic matter content, with varying proportions of clay and sand, all resting on a permeable limestone base.

Choosing the ideal grape varieties for cultivation requires considering several factors, such as the layout of the land, sunlight exposure, humidity, and altitude. Among the white grape varieties cultivated are Chardonnay, Macabeu, Xarel·lo, Parellada, Moscatell, Viognier, Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling, and White Garnacha. Red wine varieties include Cabernet Sauvignon, Tempranillo, Merlot, Syrah, and Black Garnacha. Additionally, four experimental varieties are planted.
